Heating Your Home and Powering The Appliances Your Family Depends On

There are many benefits to powering your home with oil heat and propane appliances. For many it’s a comfort thing. When an oil heat system blows it's warm air coming out - a difference you can feel. For others, they enjoy the rapid heat, fast recovery time and steadiness that comes with gas powered appliances. Oil and propane appliances generally produce the same amount of heat as electric systems in half the time and at a third of the cost.

Why Choose Oil Heat and Propane Appliances for my Home?

Oil and propane systems provide a premier heating experience. They heat faster, retain their heat longer and provide more steady heat, all while using less energy. McNeill Oil & Propane - Residential Services

  • Most oil-heated systems are hydronic rather than warm air. Hydronic systems provide a more steady heat.
  • Oil heat systems are sized to provide very fast recovery times for both space and water heating.
  • Oil heat systems suffer very low infiltration losses; that is they draw relatively little air out of the building that must be replaced by cold outside air.
  • Oil heat is an economical heating option. If you adjust for inflation, the price of heating oil is actually less than it was in 1980!
  • Oil heat is efficient. Thanks to major advancements being made in oil heat burner technology, some oil heat systems now boast efficiency ratings of over 95%!
  • Modern oil heat equipment actually burns less fuel.
  • Oil heat is dependable. There will always be a plentiful supply, even during the coldest winter months. In fact, the United States has a Strategic Petroleum Reserve with a capacity of 720 million barrels -- the world's largest emergency oil stockpile -- in addition to a two-million-barrel heating oil reserve. There are over 50 oil producing countries, and the U.S. is not dependent on any one country or region for its supply.

  • Outdoor Fire Pits - Take the convenience of gas logs outdoors. Skip the work of chopping wood and just enjoy the fire!
