McNeill Oil & Propane is a local, family-owned distributor of retail and wholesale fuels. We specialize in sales and services of propane and bulk petroleum (gasoline, fuel oil, heating oil, diesel, and kerosene) to residential and commercial customers in the Sandhills. McNeill Oil & Propane has been serving the Sandhills communities for more than 90 years, providing prompt service and quality products at a fair price.

We also believe in the importance of providing outstanding, unmatched customer service. McNeill Oil & Propane offers automatic delivery service to all of our propane customers who qualify and guarantee prompt response 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if they ever run out of propane. We offer a 24-hour emergency service for gas leaks or other situations and also offer 24/7 delivery for a nominal fee to our propane customers who choose the “will call” delivery option.

Our History
W.H. McNeill, Sr., began working in the oil business in the early 1920’s. He unloaded the first tank carload of Pure Gasoline delivered to North Carolina while employed by Biscoe Oil Company. He later went into business for himself and started what is today the family business of McNeill Oil & Propane and the convenience store operating company, Southern Sales of Aberdeen that does business as Mac’s Food Stores.
Frank McNeill, Sr. Joined the Company in 1952 and served as Chairman of the Board for more than 40 years. Frank McNeill, Jr. started working full time after college in 1978. Frank is currently president of McNeill Oil and Mac’s Food Stores. Davis Clark joined the company in 1990 and is currently Vice President of McNeill Oil and Mac’s Food Stores. Robert Mashburn joined the company in 2005 to head up the propane division of the company. We have an exceptional and dedicated group of employees serving residential, commercial, and agricultural customers throughout Moore County, Hoke County, and the surrounding areas.
Award Winning Service
We supply Exxon and Pure Gasoline to our four Mac's Food Stores locations as well as other dealer accounts. Mac's Food Stores received the L.W. Locke Retailer of the Year from the North Carolina Association of Convenience Stores in 2006. McNeill Oil Company received the Don M. Ward Industry Excellence Cup by North Carolina Petroleum and Convenience Marketers in 2009.
